We Need Your Help

The Maui Pops Orchestra is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Ticket sales alone cannot meet the expense of operating the Pops. We ask for your support as a fan of "light classics" so that Maui Pops can continue to grow and thrive on Maui. We invite you to make a gift this year to expand the support this Maui treasure of musical excellence deserves. All donations are tax deductible. Mahalo (thank you) for your Aloha!!

Your contribution is an important part of our annual operating budget. It will allow us to continue offering fun and exciting performances at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Additionally, it will help us finance student performances, and musicales at varied sites and facilities on Maui, designed especially for those who may be otherwise unable to attend a MACC performance.

All sponsors may request what aspect of the Pops they would like to support. We will make every effort to steer the donation to that part of the budget. Donations of over $10,000 are treated as special cases, and will be dealt with individually per the wishes of the donor.

VENUE SPONSOR • $10,000: A Venue Sponsor underwrites the cost of the venue for one specific concert. This is normally the Castle Theatre at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Each time we perform a concert in the MACC the fees are about 30% of our overall concert budget. The Event Sponsor has the choice of being identified in the program, and may even wish to choose which concert they would like to underwrite.
MUSIC DIRECTOR'S SPONSOR • $10,000: A Music Director Sponsor underwrites the fees paid to the Music Director. This is an annual donation that is renewed each year.
MUSIC LIBRARY SPONSOR• $10,000: The Music Library Sponsor may have their name permanently affixed to our Music Library. The library is waiting for a Sponsor in order for it to proceed.
EDUCATION SPONSOR • $10,000: The Education Sponsor underwrites the cost of one educational concert. This is two back-to-back concerts that will normally play to 1200 to 1500 of Maui's school children. Without this one donation or the same total from several smaller donations, we are unable to schedule an educational concert each year. We had none in 2009.
CONCERTMASTER'S SPONSOR • $3,000 - $5,000: A Concertmaster Sponsor underwrites the fees paid to the Concertmaster. This is an annual donation that is renewed each year.
PRINCIPAL CHAIR SPONSOR • $2,500: The Principal Chair Sponsor may pick the instrument of their choice, such as Principal Trumpet or Principal Clarinet.
SOLOISTS' CIRCLE • $1,000 - $2,499: These donations help to underwrite the fees of the soloists at our concerts.
MUSICIANS' CIRCLE • $500 - $999: These donations help to underwrite the musicians' fees for one concert.
SPONSORS • $250 - $499: Our sponsors help to underwrite the cost of advertising and promotion.
PATRONS • $100 - $249: Our patrons help to underwrite the cost of the purchase of music for our orchestra.
FRIENDS • $25 - $99: Our friends really help to fill in the pukas in our budget when they occur!
